For dimming loads of more than 500 W, parallel dimming channel switching is available (resistive load only).

In the case of a parallel connection of 2 channels, we obtain a total dimming power of 1 kW,

when connecting 4 channels (two C-DM-0402M-RLC modules) we get up to 2 kW.

For correct operation, both modules (output connected for 2 kW output) must be on the same CIB branch, they must be configured identically and controlled identically (identical data must be sent to both channels of both modules).

Fig. 1 Dimmer connection C-DM-0402M-RLC for loads up to 1 kW

Notes:

  1. For a dimming power of 1 kW (load H1 in the example) it is possible to connect according to the example any two dimmer channels, which must be on the same CIB branch - ie two channels of one module (according to the picture), or two channels of two different modules (eg due to power distribution and thus warming).
  2. Terminals B1 and B2 are internally connected, similarly B4 with B5 and B8 with B9.
  3. The N terminal is necessary for the internal circuits of the module, it is not loaded by dimming power, so it can also be connected with a conductor of smaller cross-section - eg 0.75 mm2.

Fig. 2 Dimmer connection C-DM-0402M-RLC for loads up to 2 kW

Notes:

  1. For a dimming power of 2 kW (load H1 in the example) it is possible to connect according to the example any four dimmer channels, which must be on the same CIB branch - ie always two channels of two modules (according to the picture), or four channels of four different modules (eg from due to power distribution and thus warming), etc.
  2. Terminals B1 and B2 are internally connected, similarly B4 with B5 and B8 with B9.
  3. With regard to the load of the terminals, it is more appropriate not to transmit the total power through the internal circuits of the modules and connect the outputs, for example, as indicated in the figure (outputs B9 of the left module with output B1 of the right and load H1).
  4. The N terminal is necessary for the internal circuits of the module, it is not loaded by dimming power, so it can also be connected with a conductor of smaller cross-section - eg 0.75 mm2.
  5. For power up to 1.5 kW, we analogically connect a total of 3 dimmer channels.
