The following connection example shows the basic connection of the charging station for charging with alternating current from the 230V distribution network, single-phase design using the C-EV-0302M module.
The example shows a 1f Type 1 charging connector (according to SAE J1772 and IEC 62196-2), which is used, for example, by a Nissan Leaf vehicle.
The same connection of CP, PP signals and power supply control also applies to other types of connectors for AC charging (eg 3f Type 2, etc.)
The charge control module uses CP (Control Pilot) and PP (Proximity function) signals in accordance with EN 61851-1. The module controls the presence of mains voltage via relay output DO2, which switches the power contactor, which connects the mains voltage to the charging cable.
An FB library is available for charge control, the use of which is given in this article.
This example shows a full connection, which can be implemented in various mechanical ways according to the location (inside or outside the building) and other requirements.

Note:
-
Output DO1 is only for signaling charging by LED diode, output current max. 20 mA.
