We start with a professional audio mixer DENON
In cooperation with the Dutch company B&R Design, we have embarked on the path of systematic integration of selected multimedia. The first DENON product in the PROFESSIONAL series is the DN-508MX audio matrix controlled over a LAN IP protocol. Although in the professional range, the price of this multiroom switch is also interesting for installations in family houses. That is also why we present a sample application of the multimedia driver part of the sample control of a family house. The possibility of connecting up to 6 microphones makes this audio mixer especially suitable where voice inputs to background music are expected.
On the rear wall of the DN-508MXA with integrated amplifiers, you can see 5 stereo inputs with CINCH connectors in the middle and 6 microphone input screw connectors on the right. There are 8 output channels on the screw connectors on the left, which can be combined into 4 stereo channels. 4 of them can be connected to 4 amplifiers in the upper half. On the connectors at the top left there are 4 amplified independent audio channels for 8 Ohm loads or for large 100 V distributions. It is connected to the LAN network and thus also to the Foxtrot with a standard RJ-45 connector at the bottom left. With this multimedia integration project, we are preparing to release this project as a sample template for integrators. The pictures also show the simple logic of control: After selecting the zone - here the living room - there is control of the desired temperature (left), control of lights individually and through scenes, including curtains in the windows (middle). To the right is the sound control. Select from five different signal sources, volume control and MUTE button. Through the lower button menu it is possible to scroll through the individual rooms or technical equipment of the house: climate, lights, multimedia and cameras.
This entire sample project is built on the Foxtrot website. Its individual parts can be copied or modified to suit a specific house, hotel or office building. There are also pages that guide the integrator by setting individual inputs, output zones and stereo zones, so that the work is time efficient.
If you are interested in further expansion of this project, requirements for the management of specific audio signal sources, contact Teco a.s.
