Foxtrot basic modules 08.02.2020 09:29 08.02.2020 09:29

Removable submodules can contain serial channels or common inputs and outputs. They act essentially as additional peripheral modules connected directly to the fast internal bus of the base module.

Optional submodules are fitted to the base plate of the CP-2005 on the bottom plate from the outside (surface towards the bottom of the module housing) to the positions indicated in Fig.xx. The operation of serial channels is described in the documentation TECOMAT FOXTROT 2 (TXV 004 50.01).

Both submodules have a common ground at the terminal marked COM1. It follows that the galvanically isolated submodules are separated from the internal circuits of the basic module CP-2xxx, but not with each other.

RS-232 and RS-485 interface parameters

MR-0130 - MR-0134 sub-modules contain RS-232 or RS-485 serial channels. The parameters of these interfaces are listed in tab.xxx and tab.xxx.

For the proper function of the RS-485 communication line, its termination at both ends is required. On the submodule it is done by passing the solder jumper marked BT1 (first channel), resp. BT2 (second channel).

Submodule wiring

Submodules contain 1 or 2 serial channels with RS-232 or RS-485 interface according to the selected variant. Both submodules installed in the basic PLC module have a common signal ground COM1, which is galvanically isolated from the internal PLC circuits.
