The RM-895x series system bus for the TC800 system is designed for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail with a depth of 15 mm.
The RM-895x series features TCL3 bus termination via KB-8961 end pieces, that are mounted on both ends of the system bus, see Fig. 1. The KB-8961 terminator end pieces are standard components included with the RM-895x series system bus and must be installed as described.
For example, RM-8955.02, order no. TXN 189 55.02, is a set of the RM-8955 system bus with 2 KB-8961 terminator end pieces. The RM-895x system bus cannot be ordered separately. The KB-8961 terminator can be ordered separately, e.g., to replace a damaged part, under order number TXN 189 61.

Notes:
- The system bus (RM-8955) snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail with a depth of 15 mm, with the red arrows pointing upward as shown in the figure. The system bus has a relatively tight fit in the DIN rail and must be pressed firmly into place; care must be taken not to damage the bus itself (the gold-plated conductive strips).
- The KB-8961 end piece is snapped onto both the left and right ends of the system bus, also with the red arrows pointing upward
- There is a gap of approx. 5 mm in height and 9 mm in width between the system bus and the DIN rail for the screw heads securing the DIN rail—see the bottom left of fig. 1.
- It is recommended to cover the unused sections of the bus with the 8 blanking plugs supplied in the BS-C028 kit.
KB-8961, TC800 bus terminator.
This is required for proper termination of the TCL3 bus in the TC800 system when using system buses that do not have built-in termination.
These terminators are now required for the RM-895x series of system buses, which are designed for 15 mm deep DIN rails.
The older RM-894x series has internal termination, and KB-8961 modules MUST NOT be installed on these system buses!
