A single CP-2xxx can be connected to several CF-2141, CF-2142, and TF-2121 master modules, as well as combinations thereof. Basic examples of maximum configurations for the CF-2141, CF-2142, and other combinations are provided in the following chapters:
CF-2142 - Basic Configuration for a Single CP-2xxx
Up to 7 CF-2142 units can be connected to a single CP-2xxx. The connection topology can be configured either in the standard manner using a switch module (similar to the example in Fig. 2), or, with a maximum of 4 master units, the internal switch circuit in the CF-2142 can be used to connect the modules in series, as shown in the following figure.

CF-2141 and CF-2142 - Maximum Configuration for a Single CP-2xxx
A maximum of 7 CF-2141 units or 7 CF-2142 units can be connected to a single CP-2xxx. The standard connection topology uses a switch module; see the following figure.

If you need to connect 3 additional CIB buses to the CP-2xxx, for example, you can make optimal use of the internal circuit switch in the CF-2142 and connect the modules as shown in the following figure.
