C-EM-0100M - measuring electricity production and consumption

The C-EM-0100M is a versatile single-phase power meter with bidirectional measurement capability and an expansion input, suitable for integration into systems with CIB communication. Thanks to its wide range of measured parameters (voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, energy, frequency) and support for an external current transformer, it enables detailed monitoring of both energy consumption and generation in residential and industrial applications.

In addition to energy measurement, it also features 1 universal AI/DI input, which can be used as:

• a binary potential-free input (e.g., a pushbutton),
• or an analog input (e.g., Pt1000, Ni1000, NTC resistance temperature sensors, etc.)

Basic Measured Quantities

The module measures and provides the following values (more detailed information is available in the module’s basic documentation):

• Current (Irms): 0–65.5 A
• Voltage (Urms): 0–655 V
• Active power (Pmean): –32,768 to +32,767 W
• Reactive power (Qmean): –32,768 to +32,767 var
• Apparent power (Smean): 0–32,767 VA
• Power factor (cos φ): –1 to +1
• Phase shift: –180° to +180°
• Mains frequency: 45–65 Hz

The measurement is supplemented by energy registers (active/reactive, consumption/supply). Values are provided in pulses with a resolution of 0.1 pulse; conversion to kWh/kvarh is performed according to the set parameter “Number of pulses per 1 kWh”

Configuration and Data Structure

• Configuration is performed in the I/O Configurator tool (not in the older Project Manager).

• The data is divided into 4 device groups:

  1. DI – binary input,
  2. STAT + AI – status and analog input value,
  3. P/U/I – current power, voltage, and current,
  4. ANYREG – access to R/W registers of the measurement section

Mechanical Design

• Compact design: control cabinet module, 1.5M wide.
• Mounting: on a DIN rail.

• Indicators:

  • RUN LED (communication status),
  • IN/OUT LED (energy consumption/supply indication),
  • DI1 LED (binary input status)

Notes:

1. The input from the power source (phase L) is connected to the side marked P1; the load is connected to terminal P2
2. The secondary side (S1, S2) can be extended; the recommended maximum length is tens of centimeters
3. The current transformer is an integral part of the C-EM-0001M module package

Modul  je standardně dodáván s proudovým transformátorem s převodem 2000:1 a měřicím rozsahem do 50 A AC.
