To measure the water flow (cold or hot water - monitoring water leakage, water consumption) we use a flow meter (water meter), eg TA-E / 20 with a pulse output, which is connected to the pulse inputs of the C-AM-0600I module, or to binary potential-free inputs of the basic module CP-10x8, CP-10x6. The flow meter (manufactured by Bonega) is a single-inlet vane with an internal damper regulation and a dry-running counter, with a wheel for photometric reading designed primarily for cold and hot drinking water.
We install it in the distribution system as a normal water meter, the working position is arbitrary. Basic data and dimensions are in the following table:
Order number | TA-E/20 | |
Nominal diameter DN | mm | 20 |
inches | G 3/4“ | |
Water meter connection (D) | inches | G 1“ |
Max. (overload) flow Qs | l/min | 83 |
Nominal flow Qn | l/min | 41 |
Minimum flow Qmin | l/min | 0,83 |
Starting flow | l/min | > 0,1 |
Max. the operating pressure | MPa | 1,6 |
Impulse number | Pulses/l | 2 |
Construction length (L) | mm | 130 |
Height (H) | mm | 78 |
Width (B) | mm | 75 |
The flow meter is fitted with a sensor, which is part of the delivery, terminated by a cable outlet approx. 50 cm long. The cable is terminated with two tinned terminals (with white and red insulation, polarity does not matter) and shielding. The shield can remain unconnected, the terminals are connected to the input of the module, eg. C-AM-0600I:
Fig. 1 Example of connection of flow meter TA-E / 20 to module C-AM-0600I
Notes:
- The supply cable can be extended to approx. 20 m, preferably with a shielded cable, eg. SYKFY 2x2x0,5 or J-Y(St)Y1x2x0,6.
- If we connect the supply cable of the flow meter directly to the terminals of the C-AM-0600I module, we do not connect the shield. When extending the cable, connect the shield to the protective ground.
